Washington University in St. Louis Architecture Project,

March 2002

The Educational Program of The Cascabel Hermitage Association hosted a group of four students and their instructor, Professor Jodi Polzin from Washington University in St. Louis School of Architecture, on March 17-18, 2002. The students visited CHA to gather background information for their architecture studio project -- to design a Hermitage for the Sonoran Desert. David Omick and Pearl Mast gave the group a tour of some CHA facilities, including the support center, the strawbale hermitage, and the ramada/tent hermitage. The students were pleased to find an ideal location overlooking Hot Springs Canyon as the site for their design project.
